Who didn’t love the 1990’s with the crazy fashion, flannels, jeans and zip up vests and the even crazier sayings that we all inhabited (What’s up dude?)? The 90’s were the perfect time to fall in love with every teen drama that seemed to take over our lives, forcing us to spend every free moment in front of the television. Many of our favorite stars got their starring roles more than 20 years ago, and some even closer to 30 years ago! Even though it is hard to believe that it has been that long ago, many of our celebrity crushes that landed their star roles in both the silverscreen and in stealing our hearts still exist in some great Hollywood roles, while others, sadly, have moved on from the limelight. 1. Pamela Anderson

Baywatch was one of Pamela Anderson’s first successful job landings, where she played the role of the famous lifeguard, Casey Jean Parker. This was not Anderson’s only role, as she also played a role on Home Improvement as Lisa. This was a long running sitcom. One of her longest jobs was her modeling career for Playboy, where she did this career for over 20 years. She was so loved by Playboy that she was on the cover of the magazine more than any other model!
2. Jane Sibbett

Sibbett’s first big role was on Santa Barbara, a very popular soap opera, where she was even nominated for the Best Newcomer Soap Opera Digest award. Her most known role though, was probably her role in the sitcom Friends, where she played Ross’ ex-wife and lesbian, Carol.

Dash has played many roles after her role as Dionne, such as having a popular role in the movie “Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens.” Her role in movies helped to make her popular, but her role in politics has surpassed her role as an actress. Her role in supporting President Donald Trump in 2016 helped to highlight her name.
4. Jessica Simpson

Anyone who knows Jessica Simpson knowns “Sweet Kisses” her album that debuted in the 90’s. Her music career kept her busy and so did her show on MTV “Newlyweds,” where her and her ex-husband, Nick Lachey let their life shine on the reality television show. Simpson is now known for her brand “Jessica Simpson Collection,” and for her marriage to Eric Johnson, a former football player.
5. The Backstreet Boys

If you are a lady, you definately remember this iconic 90’s boy band who released their first album in 1997. They continued their music career releasing songs such as “I want it That Way,” and “As Long As You Love Me.” Their music career was successful until Richardson quit in 2006. But, in 2012 and 2013 they reunited and released an album that made it to the Billboard 200 chart.
6. Tori Spelling

Spelling was building her career by doing shows that were Lifetime movies when she started. She also was seen on many reality television shows. Her biggest role of all times was her role on “Beverly Hills 90210.” Besides being an actress, Spelling also wrote six books.
7. The Hanson Brothers

Who doesn’t remember “MMMBop?” This famous 90’s hit was by the Hanson Brothers who were equally as good as singing as they were handsome. Even though “MMMBop” was probably their biggest successful recording, they continued to make other songs. Between the three brothers, they now have nine kids between them.

Detton became known for his role in many Disney Channel movies such as “Escape to Witch Mountain,” and “The Princess Diaries.” His most popular role might be reprising the voice of Sid in the Disney animation, “Toy Story 3.” Even though Detton does not always bask in the limelight, he sometimes goes to the Disney red carpets with his family.
9. Shannen Doherty

Doherty was originally known for starring as Jenny Wilder on “Little House on the Prairie and then later she landed her prize role as Brenda on “Beverly Hills 90210.” She quit this role after the 4th season to go on “Charmed.” Later in her life, she starred on “Dancing With the Stars,” and “90210” the spin-off of the original show. She is now working on the film “Heathers.” After battling Crohn’s disease and breast cancer, she is in remission since 2017.
10. Gillian Anderson

Known as Agent Dana Scully in the X-Files, Anderson continued this role for over 14 years. She also took a role in the Starz show “American God,” and a movie “Crooked House,” that is based on a novel by Agatha Christie. Anderson is known for being a women’s rights activist.
11. Alanis Morissette

Most people of the 90’s were impacted by Morissette’s album “Jagged Little Pill.” This album also made Alanis a huge star. Born and raised in Canada, this music star won four Grammy Awards in 1996 and released more albums, her last one being in 2012. Not only did she do music, she also appeared on many television shows.
12. Liv Tyler

Liv Tyler is known as being an actress and some of her biggest roles being in “Lord of the Rings.” She also appeard in many other films and televsion shows, such as her role in “The Leftovers,” in 2014. Even though she is an amazing actress, she is probably most known for her role as Steven Tyler’s daughter.
13. Meredith Brooks

In 1997, Brooks released a hit called “Bitch” which won her two Grammy nominations. After her first two albums, she didn’t do as well as she had hoped but in 2007, she released the album “Shine” and the song became the theme song for the Dr. Phil Show. Brooks still produces music today and is also a mother.
14. Heather Locklear

Most 90’s people remember the show “Melrose Place,” where Locklear made a starring role as Amanda Woodward. She is also known for being married to Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora, the Bon Jovi guitarist. Besides “Melrose Place,” she also has starred in “LAX” and “Hot in Cleveland.” When the new “Melrose Place” came out in 2009, she continued her role as Amanda Woodward.

Peggy Bundy is probably on the mind of every 90’s sitcom watcher, played by none other thoan Katey Sagal. She also did voice for the animated show “Futurama.” Today, she plays in many different rolls and even appeared on the popular show “The Big Bang Theory.”
16. Will Smith

Nothing sticks in your head stronger than the “Fresh Prince” theme song, starred by Will Smith, himself. Even though that role helped to make him popular, he became even more popular after being in the movies “Seven Pounds,” “Independence Day,” “I Am Legend,” “Suicide Squad,” and most recently “Aladdin.” Smith continues his acting career even today.
17. Fred Savage
